The need for validation.
The need for validation nowadays is more than the need for love .
Anyone could have said that.
You know what i am talking about . It is everywhere . You need it , your friend needs it , everyone around you need it . Before you think about something else . Lets get it straight . I am talking about "Validation" . Whatever you have , you need to get it validated by other people . The entities for which you look for validation covers almost everything { your body , your clothes, the food you had last night , your new mobile phone , your new hairstyle ,your new idea , your new art piece , your new love interest } . It covers the range from materialistic things to non materialistic things . Some things genuinely require validation but not all . The need for validation is not new , we (as a species ) have been living in the society for thousands of years and validation from the society is what makes us more integral part of society . But , MODERN TIMES created MODERN PROBLEMS . The need for validation has grown abruptly . The society is not the same as it was before . Now is the society of social media , specifically Instagram . What we see is not the true face of society , but is its fake impression.
You cannot be validated by the society which does not exist.

We need to understand that everything we see on internet is not true .The standards raised are baseless . The need for validation is to check how we really fit in the society . But what if the society itself isn't real ? What if what we see is the deception ? You cannot be validated by the society which does not exits .Then our need for validation is never full filled . The need for validation then grows into the competition of who is better ? Who has something better?that too in every domain of the society , this makes people to try achieve unrealistic and useless goals . Trying to achieve your goal is what engages a person in his life , but what if the person forgets whats more important in the life . What if , they just try to prove to others that they are better than others instead of realising that people are unique . You have something what others lack and others may have what you lack . You need to accept this .This need for validation makes us forget the reason why we are here (if there exits a reason (that's other topic )) . There is absolutely more to life than getting validation from others .

This creates toxicity in our lives . We want what others have or what they pretend to have .We try to prove to others that we also have a life of the standard set by others . This sidelines many individuals making them to think that they don't belong here , in this world . We need to understand the simple truth that existence of individuals is the reason for existence of society . What we are , makes our society . You don't need to become what you are not just to get validated by other people . Sharing what's going on in your life with friends is cool but doing this so that you are not left behind in your friend circle or to get validation that you are cool , nah ! not so cool . The need for validation has taken the form of need for likes . More the likes , more you think that you are accepted in this society . This puts pressure on other people who are not so "popular " to do something to get those "likes " . Some days back i was wondering , it will be good if we remove those like buttons from Instagram . But these Social networking sites wont do that . That is the reason they are popular . People love to get validated . Do our tech geniuses have the courage to do so ? BUT , Just read the news that Instagram is testing its feature to hide likes count on posts .It will be just like old times , going through photo albums . Who does not like to go through photo albums ? (not all , people still need validation ) .Hope they finalise it .This might reduce the problem to great extend but this is not going to solve the problem completely until you realise that you will be accepted by the society only if you accept yourself.
